Christmas Blessings

I'm off work today, so the weekend has started for me - yippee:)

Stamps (Hero Arts) - Greatest Gift & Tiny Star Background

I thought I'd make another Christmas card using the Greatest Gift set from Hero Arts. To start with I cut out the banner and die cut an opening for the Nativity scene. Then I embossed the sentiment and added some faux stitching.

To make the background for the Nativity scene, I inked a panel of white card with distress inks (broken china, tumbled glass and faded jeans). Then I spritzed water on the Tiny Star background and stamped on the panel. I also added some splashes of water from a paintbrush.

Once this was dry I stamped the scene and added a frame, a twine bow and a couple of gems to finish.

I'm submitting this card into the current Hero Arts Challenge (A Few of My Favourite Things category, as I used a favourite technique - stamping on distress ink with water) and the Die Cut Divas' Let's Celebrate Challenge. Hope you have a great weekend!
